You will also visit the Temple of Heaven . Think of the processions of incense-bearing priests at the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors went to humble themselves, prayed to guarantee a good harvest . Special dinner: Peking duck Day 17: Beijing (Breakfast – Lunch) Enjoy your excursion to the ancient Great Wall, originally built as protection from the Huns and other Nomadic tribes and never completely fulfilled its purpose. Afterwards, return to the city center to view outside of Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest Stadium) Day 18:Beijing–Canada (Breakfast) After breakfast, free time or optional tour in the old town of Beijing: rickshaw ride CAD 50 p.p.     Optional tour: visit a typical Jiangnan water village. With more than 750 years of history, the small village of Nanxun, tries to preserve as much as possible its houses and traditional alleys which make the charm of the famous villages of southern water Yangzé River (or Jiangnan). With a modernity at the gates of the village, the heart of Nanxun remains intact. The small canals extend for 3 km and about fifteen stone bridges step over them gracefully. The white houses are often separated from the watercourse by a small alley of cobblestones. The canals shaded by century-old weeping willows inspire charm and serenity. This is why the inhabitants have not moved, settled here for generations.
